Robert Morris (television pastor)

Robert Morris (born July 29, 1961 in Marshall, Texas) is the founding Senior Pastor of Gateway Church, a multi-campus,Spirit-empowered church in the DFW Metroplex. Since 2000, the church has grown to more than 21,000 active members. He is featured on the weekly television program, The Blessed Life. He is the author of ten books including The Blessed Life, From Dream to Destiny, The Power of Your Words and The God I Never Knew.[1]

Ministry

Outreach magazine recently named Gateway the twenty-fourth largest church in America. [2]Gateway has also received recognition for its worship team, which has produced four internationally released live praise and worship albums—Living For You (2006), Wake Up the World (2008), God Be Praised (2010) and Great, Great God (2011). [3]

On Easter Sunday, April 23, Gateway Church held its first service at the Hilton Lakes Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. Then, the church held Saturday evening services at Christ Our King Church in Southlake, Texas. In July 2001, the meetings relocated to A World of Learning Daycare Center in Grapevine, Texas. [4]

Besides pastoring, Morris is an overseer at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.[5] He is also part of the advisory counsel for The Vernon Wells Perfect 10 Foundation.[6]
